HELP!
Dear Cupcake Nation,
We need your help! We’re asking everyone to write a letter on behalf of Curbside Cupcakes in support of passing new vending regulations. For over 2 years the City has been working on new food truck regulations. At long last the new regs have been released and while they’re not perfect they are a great improvement for food trucks in DC and we need to get them passed!
Opponents of the new regulations want to limit where food trucks can park and how we operate. They want to stall progress and send the city “back to the drawing board” which could cost another 2 years with us being stuck with outdated regulations that were written over 30 years ago—before the internet, before social media.
Comments on the new regulations are being collected by DCRA (Department of Consumer & Regulatory Affairs) until Feb 18. We’re trying to get 200 letters!
Will you write a letter and ask your friends (especially DC residents) to send letters?
Below is some boilerplate language. All you need to do is cut and paste! The first one is for DC residents and the second one is for non-DC residents. (If you don’t know your ward, just delete that part.)

As a DC resident, I am happy to see proposed vending rules that can allow new and innovative small businesses to thrive in the District.
Opponents of these regulations are trying to limit competition and stall progress. Please don’t allow this to happen. Please pass these new regulations quickly.
